History Classroom ~ Human History

A regular looking classroom, with desks lined up to face the board at the front. Various maps and historical pictures and quotes are pinned up the walls.

Erik walked into the classroom, and sat down. Not saying anything.

Kimi walked into the room. She saw a boy sitting in a desk, she walked past him and sat in the very back of the room. Kimi pulled a book out of her bag and started reading.

Ron walked in and saw a boy and a girl sitting in the back. She sat a beside the boy, but a desk apart.

Valerie came walking into the room, carrying a bunch of loose papers. She dropped everything on the teacher's desk. "Sorry I'm late. Still getting used to the whole teaching thing." she said, smiling.

Kimi looked up from her book, and then put it away back into her bag. She sat there, silent.

"It's fine, teach," Ron said.

Val chuckled "Ok, so welcome to Human History. It's basically the same as any other formal history class you've had. We'll have a few projects, and tests, but other than that no homework. So, um... Any questions?"

Ron shook her head.

"Alright class, since this is the first day we're going to have some fun and play those first day ice-breaker games I know you all love so much." Val said, laughing.

"'Kay."

Erik sighed "Wonderful..."

"Alright, so who would like to tell us about themselves first?"

"My name is Ron House and Wolverine is my uncle and Sabretooth is my father. I recently found that out. I'm originally from Canada."

Erik pushed up on his glasses, and cleared his throat. "My name is Erik Baron. I don't really care to speak of my family. As for my interests, I enjoy music and reading."

Kimiko looked up to the class. "My name is Kimiko Takana. I don't really care for my family, except for my uncle Kenuichio Harada. I am originally from Japan, and I enjoy study other cultures."

Val smiled "Alright, well my name is Valerie Lexington. I love to travel and watch sports."

Ron then asked, "What 'bout humans are we goin' to learn?"

"We are going to learn their history. Like I said, this is going to be just like a regular history class." Val said, looking at a paper. "So we have one of three civilizations we can learn about first: the ancient Aztecs, Egyptians, or Chinese."

Ron groaned. "They ain't that much different than us," she grumbled. "All right, it does sound like fun." She then smiled.

"So then, Headmistress, what will be the first civilization we discuss?" ERik asked, pushing up on his glasses.

"Well I was thinking about starting with the Egyptians. I always found them to be one of the most interesting ancient civilizations."

"Yeah, they are interestin'. I do know that they worshiped cats." She smirked.

Val chuckled "Yes, right along side the dung beetle."

(haha sorry, Harry Potter quote...)

Erik smirked slightly at Valerie's comment, but remained silent.
